do you have a pic of where you put yours on the frame?
do you leave them on or only when you work on the bike?
and wont this make the lifting point even lower, therefore more of a PITA to get on the jack?

Get in the habit of removing the adapters immediately when you lower the machine.
Or, you may do what I did. Rode off and then at my first stop
someone said "what's that orange thing under your sickle??".

Mudpuddle, thanks for posting that picture of your bike raised up on the stand with the adaptor kit.
Was thinking of picking up that Craftsamn lift, I'll pick it up now fer sure.

Folks say the JandS is much better and easier.
I haven't had the opportunity to use that one.
Whatever lift is used, always remember to be safe.
Example - take a lot of weight off the front, support the rear.
And vice versa.

Excellent examples there, Mud. I always wondered after I got my Sears yellow jack would I need to cut the silly a$$ bar off of the front part of the jack so I could get it under the bikewith the jiffy stand down. Guess I'll have to practice the technique. I really like your example of supporting the bike with something more than just the jack when removing peices from the front or rear. Thanks for the info.

RE: SB and Craftsman jack?
I use the ATV adapter that came with the jack in the front, and use a pc of 2x4 to make up for the fin. with the kickstand up the 2x4 goes right up against it under the frame, no adapters,no straps. I attached the 2x4 to a pc of 1/2"plywood on the same angle as the frame is in that spot.then attached it to the jack from underneath. put the kickstand up ,slide the jack under DONE! it sounds like alot here, but it was very easy, will send a pic when I can.

I have the same jack I slide it under my 07 suerglide (while sitting the bike) make sure the kick stand is up it's a bit tight but it works, I jack the bike up it does hit the kick stand but it works good the bike is stable while on the jack there are no adaptors the bike rests on the jack pads it works good

Leaving the jiffy stand down -
For me, that would be a real bad thing. Can't see big stuff,
and the kStand stickin out would either provide an excellent opportunity
for me to smack my shin on it, and/or manage to topover 600+ lbs
of HarleyDavidson off the lift,
and three foot down onto the cold hard concrete floor.

RE: SB and Craftsman jack?
I use the red and black Sears jack and puta 2X4 under my kick stand (with the kick stand down)which make the bike stand up almost vertically, then I just slide the jack under the bike from the right side. No problem andI never have to get on the bike.Once the jack is under the bike I put a 2X4 opposite the fin that is on the right side of the trans so that the bike sits level on the jack. You really shouldusea 1 inch piece of wood but a 3/4 inch piece of 2X4 works in a pinch. I don't use the HD kit.
