Default The fail continues

The 1.25 just missed.

i think it's time to just mod the bracket a few millimeters or have the local fab shop hook this up..

Look for Deutsch Crimper or Molex Crimper at the local electronics or highly-stocked auto parts joint. The jaws have a pretty complex crimp profile to keep from distorting the pins and capture both the conductor and insulator separately.

Amazon and eBay also work, of course.

Do NOT get the crimper type for solid barrel terminals. If the crimper has a round head, it's probably for solid barrels. Your crimpers need to have "plier-type" jaws.

Just one example...

Wink

ordered the amazon iwss versions just out sheer laziness.

visiting the two fab shops in town tomorow to see if they can work some magic on the LA Chopper mount.

called around some more today and the 1.25 bar clamp thing is past dead... i just love my stock bars.

Default Gainz

Local metal fab shop trimmed the mount a bit, still not perfect but, i was thinking i'd use some scrap rubber to set it right.

just need wires and connections

crimps showed up today.

should i epoxy coat these ears or leave them wrinkle black?

I would strip, polish, amd clear coat the gauge rings. Regardless, I don't think the wrinkle fits.

oh no, i cant do that shiny stuff on the gauges, it will be right in my face when in sunlight. i've already considered powdering the fork trees a few times because of the reflectivity.
