i download autodesk 123d design. feels like the wrong tool for the job.

http://www.123dapp.com/

found 3d models to but the feel like some joes just studies pictures and built renders. not exact enough. i can tell just by looking at the images that the don't explode.

https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/v...ide-glide-2015

i think i need pro CAD type software.

fun times, comfort zone blown!

I run cad all day every day. What do you need? I'm happy to design solids and/or drawings.

I did these and others for my bike...

good Gorman man.

i 100% don't know what i'm doing. i need an exploded/exploding fxdb, fxdl, or fxdwg dyna model with accurate specs, lol. i think third parties have those. could be wrong.

seriously, i just need the dash/console model to work off of. i may need to pull mine and run it over to fsu engineering and have it scanned. if i do that, what ".format" am i to ask for?

how did you get those dimensions?

Depends on exactly what you want to do with it. .DXF will work with (our) 3D printers or .STP will work with almost any pro-level CAD software. I don't know anything about software like 123d or sketchup. I run Autodesk Inventor Pro 2016 at work. Generally, when I need to send files to other companies (or vice versa) I use .STP.

That will get it done, no problem.

i'm running a 3 year old Xeon, 32 gig ram, Quadro K400 (iirc), a crappy 5400 hard drive, dual 24" wide screens, and a 3dx space mouse. Big Corporations are cheap.
