Im in the middle of doing this too, i have a 16 street bob anyway this guy makes carbon fiber dashes i was gonna see if he could make one with thr speedo hole not removed .

Do you have the part number for that tach back plate? Good idea it fill in the gaping dash hole!

Comments from the peanut gallery... If I was trying to blank off that dash, I would drop into my local good body or fab shop and have them make blanker plates and have them tig weld them in. A swipe of filler and paint, she will look slick and clean.

Have you thought about swapping tanks? I believe you can use a center fill FXDC tank, on the newer bikes?
