lol. i've actually toned my nonsense down because of the folks lurking in other parts of hdforums throwing shade after being called out on their "stuff". dyna forum tends to not have that chronic ******ssness problem. men are men here. that is good.

Rocket Bob's has made at least one low profile blank tank cover/dash. Forum member "MFC" has one. here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...treet-bob.html

that is good. It would blend well for a lr or something with the ignition switch mounted elsewhere or that is keyless.

i'm now talking to the Pop's Garage, the people that made that insane dash a few posts up.
http://www.popsgaragefab.com

Seems like they're game to make a dash. Anyone here interested in a group buy if they agree to make us some? We haven't gotten to price yet but, they've asked for requirements and pictures of the "as is" situation.

instagram is the sh** when it comes to getting stuff done. I'm also trying to get one of these airrcleaner covers from them:

Fun fun

I'm doing a dash delete and switch relocate but it's gonna be a welded up tank. Did a.custom dash last year.

pops wants $1500 ..... not sure how large a group would be needed to make that reasonable. That said, I bought the air cleaner cover, lol

I do machined prototypes for a living, but have no real experience with what I'm assuming is a glass dash/console. seems like they would need to make a mold regardless of lot size and that would be the bulk of the cost (plus R+D, of course). My costs drop fast from 1 thru about 10 pcs but after 10 it tallkes quite a large jump to make a real dent in cost.

$1500 seems quite reasonable for a one-off.

For a complete, custom made piece, $1500 doesn't sound that far off. Would I spend that kinda money on a dash? Hell no, but it seems about right.

You should drop Deviant, or JD fab a line and see what they're willing to do for you.
