Just wondering how many Street Bob owners have had to explain what they are riding? I can't even count the times friends, co-workers and strangers have asked me what kind of Harley that is. For example the other day at work one of the guys was checking out y bike and asked me if it was an 883. Anyone else get similar questions?

its a dyna , i dont say anything more then that usually because everything that made it a "street bob" has gone by by pretty much. I usually get asked what year it is and people are suprised when i tell em 06. Not many dyna riders around here and ive only seen a couple FXDBI on the road, mine looks nothing like it did in th showroom and im glad.

 

So far, people that have asked me what it was, knew about the Bob, one or two thought it was a Sporty.

 

I never get the sporty comment, I'm surprised so many say that they get that.Maybe it's because I have the black denim paint. It would be interesting to see if thepeople who get asked if it's asporty have the gloss paint.

Whenpeople are unfamiliar with my model I just say, "It's one of the new Dyna's...the Street Bob". That usually does the trick.

 

A couple of guys at acharity run I went to Sunday thought my FXD was a Bob. They were wondering why I took off the mini apes.

 

actally had mine accused of being a night train twice!!! i just say its a dyna because i have to explain what a bob is when ive taken that route before several times.

 

People keep asking me if it's a 1200. Others ask me what kind of a Harley it is and most look confused when I say a Dyna Street Bob. But everyone that asks is convinced that the flat black paint was not stock.

 

most people that have to ask (in my experience at least), typically don't know what you are saying when you answer anyway.
We could say its a Harley Super Bob Glide and they wouldn't know WTF.

I usually just say its a Harley Dyna, like others have mentioned.

 

i just tell them its a new dyna model..

ive never gotten the sporty comment..

 

yeah i usually just say its a dyna....basically a stripped-down low rider....have had the night train comment..guess theyre pre-judging it cause it's black...
