I went ahead and ordered the Avon Contour grips with billet ends. All black. They were only $59.99 and then I didn't know I had $15 in revzilla. So $44.99 shipped to my house. Can't beat that. I will let you guys know how they are.
I had the Avon Custom Contour grips for about 6 months. It's a great quality grip and I really liked the style and they were only about $45 on Amazon. However for me they were a little thin in diameter. The are thinner than the stock grips. I discovered the Avon gel grips and changed them out and they are much more comfortable for me and don't experience fatigue like the contours. Either way they are good quality grips. Just find out what fits your hand best. I really wanted the contours but they just weren't for me.
How critical is a throttle lock for those who run one? Seems ideal for long rides but not sure if it'd interfere with my usual runs around town and my normal riding. Does it ever get accidentally bumped or anything inadvertently?
Looking into Avon Gels or Kuryakyn ISO specifically.
I like these on my bike. They are Harley Nostalgic grips https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...09-5627596b--1 but you can get the same thing at www.jpcyles.com for a lot less money. I really like the the ones I have from jpcyles. Good quality grip, feels good in the palms of my hands, very comfortable riding grip, the throttle is a one piece grip that fits well, and works smoothly with no slippage.
Here are the JP Cycle brand for $40 cheaper. I use these:
I have carpal tunnel, trigger finger in both hands and I love these big fat Kuryakn ISO grips with throttle bosses.Have them on both bikes and swear by them..."you ***** F'r" see,I swear by em!
