Yep. Plus the cooling potential.

Whtwolf, one thing I've learned over the years, it's alot easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

So what I've learned since doing this tank lift; much easier to see the speedometer (less glare), keeps the motor slightly cooler and actually seems to reduce buffeting slightly, not a whole lot but definitely noticeable with a half helmet. Since this is the first motorcycle I've ever owned that had a fuel gauge (when I got my used 03 Electra Glide the fuel sensor in the tank was not working and HD wanted 300.00 for a new one so I never did fix it) and never really used it anyway, always have planned my refueling by tracking the mileage so it really isn't a big deal for me to lose the accuracy of the gauge.

Installed my 2" lift over 5 years ago. Loved the subtle change right off the bat. Have never even thought of removing it. For what it's worth, I go 150 miles before refueling. So far, so good!

Im ready to pull the trigger on getting a 2" lift, just waiting on DK to get back to me, I am pretty sure they either offer a Forum or military discount.

Seems the vast majority really like their lift, Im sure I am going to enjoy it! Give it some more of that old school chopper look! Will post up pics when I get it installed.

I'd consider a 3" lift on that ride you've got bro. Do the trial lift first and see what you think. It only takes a few minutes. Even if you can't quite get to 3" owing to the X-over, you can still get an honest perspective on which would look best.

I did trial lift for 2", I will give it another shot at 3" and see what I think. Thanks for the suggestion!
