On the way home from my PTO meeting last night I absolutely could not believe how weak the stock bulb is.We have a lot of deer around here, so the OEM stuff is not going to cut it(as it is with a lof of the OEM stuff I hate to say)
Can anyone recommend a good bulb thats not going to melt my housing/cause any big problems?Price is a concern as well.Let me have it guys!

 

There was a whole thread not too long ago where a lot of people seem to recommend the Sylvania Silverstar H4. I think these are fairly common at the local parts store and average around $20. Plan on picking one up myself this weekend.

i have the philips halogen part # 9003bv... bright as the sun.about 17.00..They are 1000/1650 lumens..i be twice as bright as stock bulbs.

I've got a nice chrome headlight I'll sell ya for $50.00 (drag specialties) It has a blue tinted glass cover which makes the light brighter and whiter.

 

Sylvania h4st. The 9003 version is supposedly for a car...

 

I did the H4ST replacement. Package says its for motorcycles for$20.
Nice and bright.

 

Same here for me. Lights up the night pretty good & a lot better than stock.
