So I much prefer the "wrinkle" black console of the newer Street Bobs to the gloss black console of my 15 Fat Bob... Anyone know if it would be a direct swap? Has it been done? TIA!
The Fat Bob tank is different than the Street Bob, so I would imagine it'll be a no go.
Also, that wrinkle finish is a PITA when trying to wax and clean your tank. I keep going back and forth about maybe having mine powder coated gloss black
While it would be possible, you would need to fabricate a mounting bracket, the speedo is a different size as well, so it would probably not be an easy swap.
Would be easier to buy a tank and console combo and swap, that is relatively easy, all Dyna tanks will bolt on any Dyna frame.

Well my FB is Denim Black, so the non-waxing thing wouldnt be an issue... But the rest of your info has given me enough reason to forget about this already, haha...

Thanks for the quick response, I'll forget I even had this though... Not even remotely close worth the thought of all of that swapping...

It does pick up the white wax...but that comes off with a quick wipe using glass cleaner. Another nice feature of the crinkle it is minor scratches either don't show or they can be touched with a quick spray of flat paint, just on the scratch.
