Vance and Hines Problems

Vance and Hines Problems
Vance and Hines has recently been bought out by a larger company-

Seems like they no longer have their act together. Is the buy-out the problem?
They've advertised exhaust systems for months that remain unavailable even though the same systems are displayed on their website and print adds.
I've waited for months on the "new" 2 into 1 Upsweep but V&H Customer Service keeps pushing back the ship dates. I gave up on the Upsweep last week and decided to order a 2 into 1 High Flow Short. It's been advertised longer than the Upsweep. Guess what. It is not available and ship dates are being postponed for it as well!
At best, this reflects poor management and market planning. It also makes me wonder about quality control now that Vance and Hines is no longer an independent company run by enthusiasts.
Has anyone else noticed this?????

example, Allen Edmonds.... there's been no change in quality since they sold brentwood. i've bought about six pairs since the sale.
we'll just have to wait and see what happens

nonsense, companies change hands all the time with no noticeable diff in products. not always the case but, largely so.

Truth... typically nothing of any consequence happens when a company changes hands. Then again, look at J&P Cycles. After they were acquired by MAG they've crashed and burned in a most spectacular fashion... J&P Cycles has really damaged their name and reputation...

I used to think of V &H as the tops in aftermarket. However, my recent experience with them advertising products for months and still not having them for sale, has made me wonder. I've talked with their customer service people several times and I get the idea that they are having internal problems in getting items to market.
I have questions about how the quality of their products will fare under the new corporate umbrella.
Seems like they are slipping. I left them and bought another brand.
