That big box up against the wall looks a bit interesting; about the right size for a new 21" front wheel

best scene in a movie.

i don't know what's in any of those boxes, lol. seriously the pile keeps getting bigger and bigger. i think that big box is the set of headers from MattVA.

wheels come in huge boxes. the wheel shop i got the DD80 spoke from said they don't have any more right now. slow boat from china, lol. he did say that he had the fat spoke version as well as 23X3.5 in the 80 spoke

i have 40%of what i need for the dual disk conversion in those boxes somewhere in those boxes and packages. just waiting on a mc rebuild kit, m/c cap and other stuff from surdyke. i need :
  • right caliper,
  • fork rebuild kits slider(s),
  • oil/fluid,
  • springs
  • new front wheel,
  • and tires.
and i'm still considering the full FXST pro street front end.

i'm not married to the spokes. we know what is needed now and that it is totally possible (and easy) to do. i'm 100% open to conservative wheel suggestions

I know this isn't at all 'conservative' when it comes to wheels on the Wide Glide but when I get tired of the spokes this is the path I'm heading down... but they're a bit spendy... but, it's only money, right?

designer cast wheels cost big bucks.

i really like the DNA victory wheels

those things are nice without too much action and stylistic flourishing

Those DNA Victory's are really nice too, I just wish they had a bit more of a chrome contrast cut to them. The Wide Glide needs something on the front that just grabs you and draws your eye to it; that's her claim to fame, that front end

I still really like the HD Deuce solid disc 17" chrome wheel in the rear; it's not that expensive at all and does look great. If you couple that with a nice 52 big spoke or an 80 spoke chrome front wheel and you're right on the mark too. I think a Deuce 17" in chrome and that Renegade Tahoe on the front would look the best of all

the solid disk is nice but, i like seeing all the moving bits. the solid is pretty cheap i saw a sport with the solid on the front and rear...

i like this guy from southern... clean wagon wheel!

Here's an alternate Ultima 80-spoke cheaper than your last wheel (also on B/O, they think til 8/15?). This may be the same wheel as the one your guy is selling and also b/o. You get them from Jireh Cycles $170 shipped

36-498 21x3.5 Dual disc 1" bearing (but that can be dealt with for the price)

How bout this one (same specs as above) $350 shipped

It might be time for you to get a bearing remover/installer $85 shipped (went up $5)

I can point you to a thrust bearing upgrade for this tool (2 bearings) $15-20

Yes! Finally; I want to see images; the walk around, the loading, images of everything. The Phoenix is rising again, document this, don't make us watch from a distance
