F86, there was OIL!!!! lots of it... kitty litter had to be unleashed. pretty funny. no biggie. the tarp is there just for stuff like that

laziness tool....

The outer and inner shoes looked ok for ~12k miles

unleashed the goods... to be with the kitty litter.

tested cam lobes for contact/clearance. found contact/clearance.

dentist drill and magnetic suction... suction failed but, it seemed like a good idea.

clearanced.

good, good. blew out all i could with compressed air and then rinsed as best i could.

pulled old bearings. cheated with a 5/8 socket and a power drill.

installed the new bearings

fiddled with oil pump

installed and checked, good

blah

mounted cams and tensioner

installed

test for .10 clearance with stock rear cam spacer. needed .010 thicker .140 spacer over the .130 stock. feeler gauge was happy with the spacer.

that clip was closed and there was blood spilled on the happy rear sprocket

playdoh approved and buttoned up

lifters

scrubby scrubby

blah...

done for the day.
