Going back to your hunt for 1-1/4 risers and gauge bracket.... You should contact this guy, and see if he will make you a set. He did the Forbidden style risers, and made it so the gauge clamp would sit high enough up that they sit over the bars.

Grease, timkins, drangons, bungs, pedals, chemicals....
bunch of stuff came in...
the new 180/55/18 tire came in for the new wheels
new bearing for the new wheels. Colorado customs said that the wheels would come with bearings and spacers but.. i like the timkins
goods came in for the pedals. got some cggorman approve supergrease for the fix of the lazy shift arm.
assembled the pedals with the adapters
pedals will sit out a bit farther
not by much though
removed the pedal cages, denatured, and epoxy'd the pedals. will install tomorrow.

I'd be surprised if that epoxy is hard enough to handle by tomorrow.
cggorman approved supergrease, huh? That would be Lubriplate. You found Lubriplate? I like 630 for general use. It's sticky as **** and stands up to major abuse. X-357 spray lube is also amazing.

Oh. I've got those irons, I think. Harbor Freight? I'm FAR from a tire pro, but the tips may prove a bit blunt and two may prove one too few.
I liked these better, personally. Wear gloves. You'll probably pinch your hand at least once. And use lube. Armorall works good.
It's really not that hard to mount/dismount. Especially if you're not fighting a tube. Lots of good videos on youtube. Just remember you can't stretch the tire bead, so don't try to. You're kinda "hula-hooping" the tire over and around the rim.
