Been looking at cast and spoke wheels al morning. Why is it so hard for folks to make simple wheels? Millions of crazy designs, very few basic/conservative options.

I totally agree. Only reason I would go to alloy wheels would be to improve performance. So...low weight, stiff, aerodynamic, etc. Most are just flashy. I think I would have to jump directly to carbon fiber.

I can;t remember the size, but a design like the new Roadster wheels would look perfect on your ride... Probably too small.

I feel your pain

Why is it so hard to find a 21X3.5 that will fit a wide glide front end with option for single or dual disk?

i hear you

it's not hard in that arena. it's hard if we look for wheels touted as wide glide wheels. i thought it was the first time around. i just stopped asking for wheels for a wide glide. people don't get "custom" for some reason.... they try to stick you bike into column a or b.... the 2008+ touring/bagger wheels jump right on. with the 41901-08 spacer on the right.

i think my real issue is just location. there no great custom shop in my area so my access is limited to the net. south and west florida have all the goods i need, i could just ride into a shop and demand satisfaction.... not up here but, i can get a shotgun and hunting gear, AR, camo gear, pick-up truck, really ugly PFG shirts, and other junk nobody wants super easy....

Default roughing out the idea

I'm looking at this wheel and the ony thing holding me back is the 3-4 week lead time and the 2 stacks it's going to set me back plus a new rear 18/55/180. other than those things.... this looks like a clear win.
