More activity....
Grabbed up a rim strip and an extension for wiggling in the air hose . IRC heavy tube from amazon appeared yesterday.
Actually considering still going 18x5.5 but I'd end up the same tire width unless i went with metzler 200s. Dont want those... not with the current reports on Metzlers
Unleashed the Fear and dropped the rear wheel off.
Loaded into stank jeep. Dropping them off tomorrow at lunch and picking them up after work.....

Thrust Bearing Upgrade
Could you point me to that thrust bearing upgrade? I've seen some on Amazon, not sure which one is the correct one to use on an 06 Street Bob w/1" axle. I'm assuming you need one to pull bearings, and a different one to press the bearings in? Advice will be much appreciated!
It might be time for you to get a bearing remover/installer $85 shipped (went up $5)
I can point you to a thrust bearing upgrade for this tool (2 bearings) $15-20
https://www.amazon.com/Pit-Posse-Dav...+posse+bearing

more more activity...tivity
mind blow by random old track on youtube: G-Easy "Been On"
(love underground)
bearing tool paid for itself in less than a week...
Rear bearings replaced
pulled old bearings, glad i did, the pulley side bearing was shot.... not sure what the PO did to this bike but man... one thing after another
installed new bearing but had to leave the wheel off because i need new bolts for the pulley. i didn't know i'd need to pull the pulley to get at the bearing.... one use. no spectacular fails for me.... (should have just replaced the rear wheel. )

started with dual line work.
i thought the right caliper was dingy... i had only looked at the ebay auction breifly when Multihdrdr told me about it...bought it right away... when it came, i just threw the box over in the box pile thinking it would need to be rehabbed. it's in better condition than the one on the bike, the pads in it were nearly new. i'm just going to flush it with denatured alcohol and be done with it.
the road glide m/c looks like a direct fit as opposed to the "editing" needed by the fat bob m/c i used last time. chrome lever must be swapped with stock one. i will rebuild it and assemble the lines tomorrow.
almost done... well... done getting it up to where the old bike was.
