Solid bushing s showed up fast... was not expecting that.

Cleaned inside the bushing holes. Added a little anti-seize (?)...

Rock solid. The wincup continues.

There's actually two tubes there, hard to make out in the pictures but, there's one to pound in (seal driver) the seals and another to get the first tube off the slider after pounding in the seal. I drop it down in the first pvc and tap it to break seal driver free. The 2nd is the smaller diameter pvc i used to drive the seal on my 39mm forks.

It's worked for me. I can't say it's a best practice.

I've found that an understanding of the mechanics combined with good technique make more difference than having the special tool.

The first time i did it with the practice set, i'm pretty sure i did everything yhe wrong way, 2nd time... not as bad, 3rd ... i was on rails, 4th .... changing engine oil seemed harder.

All the sludge there this time was alarming... it was grainy to. Not good. It was trapped up under the damper too, not in the slider. A draining would not have gotten it out.

The forks look fantastic, the chrome sliders are what belongs on a Wide Glide, glad you found the post on the fork fluid levels. I knew you'd like those LA Choppers solid bushings; solids baby, it's the only way to fly
