i'm actually fighting myself to go out there and do work... i'm pissed about the wheel situation (waiting on the 21x3.5 to come into stock)....but, i guess since we are all gonna die here in north florida because of this hurricane (everyone is home), i should go ahead and get out there.

After Andrew in '92 I never gave another hurricane or tropical storm any thought; I wasn't afraid of any storm after that monster
Hunker down; food, water, radio, and fuel for your generator if you've got one. Beyond that, a few 30 packs and beef jerky and you'll be good to go!
Channel some REO Speedwagon; I actually love to see the power of those storms...

Went out and installed the 3" inch riser extenstions....
DKrections
Factory Torques
A few things the became 100% clear after i finished
Stock
Factory Torques
Mounted... took all of 20 minutes. there was a good amount of slack and still is. the s/s brake line is long enough and then some. this was a concern when i ordered the kit, Tincupchalice said don't sweat it. Winning continues
color difference is grating on me... i'm not going to sweat it though. Horn cover annoyed me... ordered another drag gloss black round cover on the spot. i think i'll get it airbrushed this time

- My sportster is f***ing awesome:
- The stock Bushings can't handle the increased leverage.... upping to solid bushings was a good call ... i think... no idea how that will actually play out.
- i love the height but, i think i'm going to go find some t-bars or more stable risers with beefier foundations. looks like 8" from base to bars... is this the right way to measure them? the grips are sitting up at about 10-12"

I see you edited your post and added info on the bushings; I've always run solids for the exact reason you've now found. The increased leverage will show you just how pathetic the rubber bushings are. Poly bushings are decent but the solids never need to be replaced.
I'm glad it all worked out; I'd checked the 'fish before I responded to your PM to be absolutely certain, same part numbers between our bike years.
Now I want to go to a 3" tank lift and 3" riser extensions. That looks great, my friend
