Very true.
My phone was smashed (literally, nearly in half) so I was lucky that they asked and I was able to tell the first responders who to contact. I could only remember one phone number (my oldest son) but it was enough.
That was a wakeup call. I have since sewn emergency info into my jacket as well as having a patch for allergies and blood type.
Without a phone of my own, I was working thru the hospital to communicate outside. I think it was more than a month before I got back in touch with the forum after I got a PM email notification from Darryl.
Many thanks, Mike, for taking the initiative.

I had originally gotten a tattoo of my "Emergency Contact" phone #, but then with all the Strikeouts...well, it's a mess...nothing like Tarik's Tattoo

The LEOs can usually ID us thru plates, registration, etc. and track down next of kin or other family thru legal docs but that takes time.
I keep my registration in my jacket but I often ride without my wallet so that was my only ID. I lost several personal items from my belt and pockets in the tumble. Some were found. Others not. So I decided something attached to me was a good idea.
I do like the tattoo idea. I could get my kids names or something that would never change. Thankfully, my ex-wife and I are still friends so she is a viable emergency contact...but I wouldn't advertise that for her own privacy. (She's re-married).
