Little bit of shade tree surgery and most of the nonsense is masked/fixed. bent the brake pedal back into place. good to go until i can talk to the bassani folks. closed on fridays, seems like

Sucks dropping a bike. I didn't really post anything about it because I felt so stupid but I did something similar last fall. I was fine other than a skuff on my knee. Bike fell on the primary side and suffered a broken clutch lever, bent shifter, scratched up derby cover, and by far the most tragic a dent in my custom painted tank. Probably the closest I've come to crying since my grandpa died...

But the important thing is I learned a lesson.

Spoke to bassani about the damaged muffler and heatshield.

they say
187 for a new muffler
89 for the front heat shield
74 for the rear hear shield ( to match)

400 basically... looks like decisions be needn' made. New set of pipes @700, repair, have parts keracoated, or act like i don't see the damage.

fun times

is the tip of the pipe polished or chrome ? if polished aluminium, maybe a tip of welding and some shaping with the dremel will make it like new again ?

off topic, what brake line do you run in front ? My wife is locking for some braided lines for her 883R (dual disc)...

The end cap is polished ah-lou-minnie-ummm. It could reworked for sure. the muffler cone is out of round and a nice chunk of metal was scraped off. It would need the same proposed treatment as the end cap and a re-coat.

i may have to fix it with a sport glide.

the lines I've been using are goodridge. They make a kit for 883R and 1200Rs.
here's the one i had originally used but they are now in a ziplock bag:
