Used Chucks with no laces in a helmet box? I think you could have done better.

You're right, my z4 has electronic steering. But when it gets really hot outside..... bad business. google "stick steering z4" you DO NOT want that happening on a bike. Bmw fixed later but didnt do a recall. I'm sure its fine on th lrs but, i dont want it on my bike. I'll give up cruise control for that peace of mind.
Your post is the only thing that comes up on "stick steering z4" Google.

Just read your story and saw the photos. I'm glad you're OK, and another vindication for a Full Face Helmet and ATGATT.

try "sticky steering z4" sorry, typo. it's horrifying if you don't know it's going to happen. it was so bad that the M division threw it out and used hydraulic steering on the z4m. i didn't know about it before i bought my z4.

This is where you understand the value of good gear.
It doesn't cost, it pays.
Gotta pic of your old helmet? Interested to see how the chinbar "exploded."

will not be earth shattering... the bike has a few cosmetic issues that must be handled, but the price more than justifies their temporary acceptance. will be an uphill resurrection of the recently deceased FXDWG"1/2 L"
