i drilled a 5/16 hole in mine. I sharpened a steel rod with my bench grinder to use as a punch so I can center the bit. It is a little louder, and doesn't backfire or sputter. You will need a long drill bit. I removed the slip ons when I did it. You don't really need to though.
Overall, just a little louder. 5/16 is kinda small, but I did not want the backfiring when I let off the throttle.

I just took a pipe that was about the size of the plug in there and a BFH and put the on the ground and beat it out did 3 of them so far works great, I also heard you can take a 2"hole saw and cut the welds at the end and tak the baffles competely out.

I used a 2" hole saw to cut through the welds at the end of the mufflers. once your through the weld the baffles fall right out. makes it louder but the mufflers are also left with a baffle on the muffler walls so it won't be as loud as a drag pipe.
