Who's lookin' for 3/4 helmets?
Just got an E-mail from Sportsmans guide of new summer stuff. They have DOT 3/4 helmets, DOT approved with visor, for 29.95, only in black(the only color) or camo.
I remember a post a while ago, where guys were looking for 3/4 helmets.

There are a couple of new 3/4 helmets that aren't bad. Check out these links.

I hate my half helmets. The wind noise through the straps requires me to wear ear plugs. The only thing I can hear with a 1/2 helmet is wind noise. Infact, there is less wind noise without a helmet than with the 1/2. I bought a 3/4 last week and it should arrive tomorrow. I'm anxious to give it a try.

I first went to my dealer and tried to buy this helmet from them but it is a discontinued model and they didn't have the size I needed. After trying the same helmet in a differend graphic, I got the correct size. The dealer then gave me a list of dealers that show to have my size in their inventory.
I feel pretty confident it will fit correct because of that.

i just bought one 3/4 helmet made by ZEUS helmets.
don't know if they are marketed in the US though.
very comfortable, quiet, removable washable liner, visor.
it comes in this wonderfull matt black with a racing orange middle stripe.
muccho nice.
you can see it sitting on the bench at the back in the pic.

While I personally don't wear a helmet, if I had too to wear a 3/4 I might look it at the Z1R Jimmy Retro Stripe. Those look pretty decent from the pics.

RE: Who's lookin' for 3/4 helmets?
When I picked up my ride at the dealer (Mar 1 06) I needed a helmet and they had a few on sale.I picked up one of the half helmets with visor that they had. After I got it home I decided to unzip the padded ear covers and the band part that goes around the back. Jumped on the bike and went for a ride. By the time I hit 45mph I couldn't have heard an Atlas 5 Rocket take off. Hearing my bike over the wind roar would be totally impossible.
