Hello, HD Forum.


I bought this '06 Dyna last weekend on a whim. (I already have 4 bikes)


It was so nicely chromed out, with just my kind of taste.
(I'm 67 years young)


The bike was sold to me as being a "Street Bob", but while researching to VIN says model GX (5th and 6th digits), which I perceive to be a model TL, which I later find out might be a "Side Car", model.


What sayeth the Forum ??

As I read it, the third place in the VIN would indicate weight class, with 8 being the side car indicator.


The GX indicates FXDB model.

 

To my knowledge there were never any sidecar models in the Dyna line up. Everything I see in the pictures says Street Bob.

I was probably "over-thinking", (or not thinking)
It looked like a "Street Bob" and I went to a couple web pages and got confused.
