I went with the low cost solution... keeping the stock housing... and putting in Fuel Moto's replacement LED bulbs (H4 + 2 passing lamps). I know they're not a bright and crisp as the Daymaker and similar. But they do throw out a lot more light that the stock bulbs... for a fraction of the cost of a premium headlight replacement. For me, they were a very good alternative.
