purpose of tank lifts

RE: purpose of tank lifts
Personal preference is for the 2" as it brings the tank up to the frame line which looks great ! For looks it does a lot ... IMO. I only installed yesterday but can't say I notice much difference in buffeting, not that I get too much ... maybe a slight improvement. I think a slight improvement to the handling as I took it through my usual 90mph twisties today and the weaving seemed slightly less than usual !
Jackyl's are quality and his postage (to UK) was reasonable too ... Jackyl -> thanks man ! I'd prefer to support a one man outfit like you anyday when you do quality work like that. Can't wait to see your stereo mod when its done.

But beware 07 WG owners who are interested in 3" lift; Your tank will make contact with trees and it will dent when resting on jiffy stand.

RE: purpose of tank lifts
This post is really cracking me up! Some of you fellas are paying $30-$60 for a $3.80 part and 20 minutes. I'm not knocking anyone since I also was gonna spend the coin untill an old timer said "buy a tank lift are you that dumb" and then proceeded to explain how easy it is to do. RUDE DOG another HDF er will fab you one if needed for I think $20 mailed. Dont you remember the days when everyone was a mechanic? I hate that society now excepts some a hole charging $95 an hour to tinker with your ride.
