Default New master cylinder rebuild kit and still wont push brake fluid out.

I have replaced the plunger and spring and seals but yet the master cylinder just does not push any fluid out of the banjo bolt hole to even get to the brake line to get to the caliper... So confused, I even see the plunger going back and forth through the little hole.

So what can be wrong with the MC besides the plunger and seals?

Thank you for the help.
Chris

did you purge the mc with denatured alcohol to clear depositions? there's not much more to the mc.

front or rear?

And did you bleed the master cylinder?

Front----
try keep your threads together, and not start another if it's a continued issue.

slow down and address one issue at a time. try this:
  • Connect the mc to the brake line and disconnect the brake line from the brake (probably already is considering your piston issue).
  • fill the mc with fluid and just let it hang over catch pan -may take a few minutes or so.. will not just come rushing out
  • the fluid should work its way through the mc and out the line.
  • attache the caliper and do the same thing with the bleed nipple open (gravity bleed)
  • once fluid is coming out of the bleed nipple, close the nipple and start pumping the brake to build pressure.

hopefully your piston pops out.

cover your paint to keep the fluid off it.... it will ruin your paint

i had the same problem a few weeks ago. I rebuilt the caliper and replaced the master. still no go. i hooked up a vacuum pump to the bleeder. Nope. so i got a syringe with a hose on the end. filled up the syringe and pushed fluid from the bleeder to the master. I now have brakes. i was also told it could maybe the line. just a thought. And yes i bled the master, and filled the caliper up with fluid before putting it on

So the only thing that work was reverse bleeding? i think that's what its called.. I sprayed brake cleaner through the line and it was rushing out.
