Hey guys I'm blacking my bike out and wanting to get new black shocks. Mine are currently polished aluminum. I don't want to break the bank and get the works or ohlins. Progressives are a little pricey. Is there anyone that makes some 13.5 inch ones to fit reasonably priced. $200-$300?

 

I don't have a set, but everyone that's run them says they are worth every penny... Hagon 2810s.

A little more than your posted budget, but apparently worth it.

I was talking suspension with my indie last week, and he said something that made me laugh....

"Progressive's are like the McDonalds of the suspension world"


I can't say it's true, because I've never run them, but it made me laugh.

 

Not gonna find 13.5" black shocks for under $300. Your best price is going to be 13" Progressive 444 blacks for maybe $450. Progressives are definitely not the quality of Works or Ohlins. I have 13" Progressive 444's and I am happy with them and they are definitely much better than stock. I looked for almost a year before buying shocks.
