Actually, Yeah. I cleaned it up in preparation for sale but haven't got around to it yet.

It's the Harley LED tail circa 2002. No turns. Just brake.

Ok, thanks. I need just the bracket, as I have a Bright *** Light. A new one is $50 at the dealer, guess that's probably the easiest thing to do. I had the whole thing apart today and I replaced the posts/sheet metal nuts on the taillight base with 1/4-20 bolts, then I used lock washers, so THAT **** shouldn't be coming apart again. I installed my Dynamic LED turn/stop/running lights too, so now the only issue is the clearance of the rear tire.

Cool. Hopefully you get it sorted easily. Always sucks trying to Sherlock Holmes a previous owner's mods. I try to keep receipts and records for that reason.

I have a 97 WG and measured the onside fender at approximately 6 7/8" or very near the 6 3/4" you measured.

I still have the taillight and bracket. If you're interested, I can take a picture.

Well, I'm bumping this up for an update in case anyone searches this thread in the future:

I decided to pull the fender off completely to build a new wiring harness and get rid of the hacked together stock one. When I took the last bolts out, the fender supports relaxed outward quite a bit. With the fender out, when I attempt to place the taillight/license plate bracket, it's a full 1/4 inch or more too narrow. Whoever did the work years ago used a thin assembly and simply cranked the bolts down to narrow it up. At least now I know, so I'll have to spread the fender out a bit and I'll be good to go.
