Default 2014 street bob leather Pros saddlebags quick review

Hey guys I just got my leather Pro saddle bags and they are great They're really nice fit and finish And I'm happy with them . They fit really well on the bike. No need to relocate the turn signals or the license plate works with the stock bike. They come on and off really easy and when they are on they feel really secure . Already tried them out with a bit of grocery shopping and they hold a lot more than you think plus with the ability to loosen the straps you can make them hold more by cheating a little bit. Only thing I'll say is they do feel really heavy When you have them off the bike. And I can definitely feel the difference with them on the bike. I can feel the weight. But saying that I don't have a lot of experience with holding other maker saddle bags so I don't really have much to compare them to. It just fealt heavier than I thought they would be. Also the locks for the bags are pretty crap. Keys dont really fit too well. I think I have to stick some of that Stuff in the locks to make them smoother. Besides that the bags are extremely well-built really good quality and look really nice I think. Oh and the service from leather Pros was great.

How are they mounted? And how easy/ fast can you take them off and put them back on?

Something like that is what I'm looking for, dont have to move the turn signals and doesnt have an over the fender yolk.

I have the same bags. Each one literally can be mounted or dismounted in about fifteen seconds, without exaggeration. They can also be locked to the bike with a small padlock inside the bag on each side. They're a really solid design all in all.

...although I keep half wishing I had gotten the T-Sport Leather Pros instead... Maybe I'll still get them at some point and sell these!

I just bought the LeatherPro Retro T-sport bags. Just put them on last week and love the look. They go on and off really easy...like someone said, about 15 seconds. http://www.leatherpros.com/website1_003.htm
The website has reviews from a lot of people her on HDfourms. They expand to be gigantic AND they're lockable. What I liked best is how Garry describes how big they are.....by how many 12oz cans they bags can hold. hahaha

OP - according to the Leatherpros website, you need to relocate the turn signals to mount their bags. On their pictures it looks like the rear hole in the fender strut, where the stock turn signal mounts, is used to mount the bags. Is that not correct?

So glad to read this. I just bought the leather pro expandable bags with the FXDTX Retro bags and really looking forward to them coming in. I too will write a review on these as soon as it comes in.
