Default Suggestions for a detachable windshield

I like riding nekkid bike for my normal travels to work and everyday stuff and don't really like the looks of a windshield as it is. But I want to do some traveling and a good part will be on interstate and it's no fun for long periods doing 75-80 getting blasted so I've been thinking about a detachable windshield.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be much appreciated.

For the money, Memphis Shades quality products. Check out Dennis Kirk for fair prices and outstanding service. You will likely be close with an 18" windshield.

Nix the windshield and just get a fullface helmet.

Memphis shades are great, definitly. However clearview makes a great recurve screen that can use the HD detachable clamps so nothing is left on the bike. I have one for winter riding.

Just to say, helmet isn't going to reduce the fatigue from long distance rides with 70mph wind against you. Windshield definitly helps that.

Already have a FF helmet I wear most of the time. It's the wind buffet at 80MPH that I was hoping a windshield might cut down on... but don;t want a "big" one.

So 18" is a good size? How is that measured?

I have a Memphis Shade Rio Grande,, which I believe is one of the larger one.. I think they are measured from the top of the headlight cutout,, it is 16 inches. You can get some adjustment by moving the mounts up or down on the forks a little. Usually don't have it on but it works great in the cold and rain, and on the highway

Hd detachable sport . Then you can upgrade to any clearview windshield after. This option will give you more flexibility for customization .

That's actually how I did it. Picked up a used HD detachable on eBay and bought the clearview later.
