Rifle Roadster Fairing 15" or 18" Shield
I'm looking to get a Rifle Roadster fairing to put on my 2005 FXDCi. Measuring from the top of my triple tree my bar and grips are at 13" above the triple tree. The top of the speedometer sits about 12". I am 6'5". Looking for anyone's advice on what shield size to get either 15" or 18". Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

The 18" should be about perfect for you. At 6'5" you'll be looking over the top of it so you can even go with the dark tint if you like. I have the dark tint on mine. The light smoked tint is so light you can barley notice it's tinted at all. I have the 18", but cut it down to 16.5", which is also simple to do if needed.
If you measure 18" straight up from the center of your headlight, that's where the top of your shield will be.

I too am looking at rifle fairings let me know how they work out for you as far as mouting and what not. My headlight is mounted just like yours and i am wondering if there is any modification required to mount this. Also have you seen the night fight fairing they make Im not sure which i like better.

I'm probably going to throw a curveball, but I ran a Rifle a few bikes back and the 18" somehow blew all the wind in my face, the 15" either shot it up and over, or directed it somewhere else. I'm 6ft though so you being 5" taller may play a factor. Although you're sitting so your 5" might not be all torso.

I'm 6'5" and have the 18". I don't have a pic with me on the bike but I would definitely suggest going with the 18" I do not get any buffeting at all. I also have the sundowner seat and had it shaved down 1" and back 2" with forward controls. I am running 16" apes and I'm super comfortable. I've spent too much money on changing bars and windshields and I can finally say I've found my setup. Getting ready to do another 1300 miles next week.
