Took a Little 40 mi ride today and the last 10 miles of it here on Long Island we're in the pine bearings where we do have a good amount of twisties and nice roads but this time of year with the fall leaves you got to be careful. So like I'm just doing 45-50 just cruising nicely enjoying the ride and I see some lights come up behind me so I pull over and I wave the guy on.. He was on a blue and white Yamaha street bike, Even had like this leather jacket leather pants white and blue to match bike.. It's kind of funny I thought but whatever.. So I decided let's see if I can keep up with this guy on my street Bob.. So I throttled up and managed to maintain a comfortable distance behind him, maybe 10 bikes and just wanted to enjoy the twisties with the competition of another bike. None of the guys I ride with would ride like this, we were being pretty aggressive and I was really enjoying it.. In some of the corners we were doing 70-75 and we all know these street bobs and most all Harleys well they're really not true canyon carvers.. There was this one turn off that we do to stay on the twisties but the beginning of it is about 3/8 of a mile straight away so I'm just tooling behind him a good distance and he turns on to it so I throttled up and turned onto it, next thing you know he nails it I nail it and we're just staying right there with each other just having a good time and we get down to the twisties again and we're going in and out It was so cool.. It felt like a competition but it really wasn't.. It was awesome. So we get to the end of that Rd and there's a red light and I pulled up and the guy looks over at my bike and he goes wow a Harley, I said yeah not too bad of a bike huh. Felt really good, he actually respected it and said thank you That was fun... Really enjoyed it..
By the way, this is the first time I had this kind of challenge but a think it was more with me than with the other bike.. It real felt exhilarating....

Bought a new Fat Bob in 2019 but went back to a Dyna this year as I prefer the kicked out riding position. The softail was was smooth and fast but I can't fault the torque of my 2012 Street Bob with its Big Radius pipes. Replaced a rear turn signal recently as the previous owner seemed to have chewed up the wiring! Love the apes - same height as a WG I had a few years back. Limited original paint job and only 7k miles.

Heres my 2014, I'm going for a clean and simple build. Not overly modified with a bunch of useless crap bolted on, just a good riding and performing bike.
Power vision tuner
DK customs 636 intake
Bassani road rage pipe
68t rear pulley
Split-six wheels
Vibra-technics motor mount
Day maker headlight
CD LED turn signals
Memphis shades cafe fairing and 17in windshield
Steering damper
Bung King heim joint shift link
reflector removal
and a few more small things
Currently waiting on WestCoast T-bars to finish and send my bars. Then its on to suspension, brakes, brakes and a seat.
