Default New pipes

Looking for good advice. I have a 2005 carbuerated dyna superglide. I just purchased new pipes for it. Vance&hines Big shots http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...mp;model_ID=91 Does anyone know exactly what i have to do to the carbs to gt it tuned in right.

Well you have 1/2 of a stage 1. So you will probably want to get a high flow air cleaner and maybe a re-jet kit to match. Ask your dealer, they should know what parts will go with those pipes.

Unless you're very comfortable working on carbs--and you're very patient--I suggest that you just let a reputable shop dial-in the carb on a dyno. I tried to do my own work, thought I had it dialed in fairly well, took it to local tuner and discovered I was WAY rich. They pulled another 10HP from my bike.

Don't know if I'm just incompetent or what, but I'd never waste my time doing that again.

Let us know how it goes.

Also, as a previous poster suggested, you'll probably want to install a free-er flowing air filter, too.

what about sound performance. will these pipes give the bike a nice sound. i was thinking about cutting the baffles down a little. any other suggestions

A couple of friends of mine run the big shots and they sound awesome. The more miles you put on them the louder they will get. I would leave the baffles alone.
