Default fairing café/gauntlet measurement

hey,

i'm actually thinking about a fairing from memphis shade for my 2014 fxdb.

could you help me to chose between the cafe and the gauntlet.

I prefer the look of the cafe fairing.....but gauntlet seems to be better for the wind.......

I don't want it only for the look....i want some benefit at 80/90 mph...at least about my chest....

if you have one of its, could you tell me the measure from the top headlight to the top of the fairing?

i'm french....so sorry for my (poor) english

thank you

ned

I have the cafe on my Dyna. The top is about 9 1/2 inches above the headlight and the wind and bugs go right into my face, but my chest doesn't get any wind.

i know that if i don't want any wind or bugs into my face i should get a wind screen....

but that's ugly .....

9,5 inches.....not so bad.....for my chest

maybe i'll choose this one

I have the gauntlet and I wanted it for the same reason as you. I don't have the measurement, but I can tell you it really helps with the wind on the chest.

Not to hijack the thread, but what bars did you go with after having the apes? Thinking of changing mine soon. My apes are ok but...can't seem to stay satisfied

I went with 12" burly jail bars. I wasn't happy with my apes either. The tbars are great. Much better control over the bike.
