Default progressive 412: 11 or 12, HD or not, cover or not?

I'm (95 kg) 210 lb and my wife (55 kg) 120 lb. So I suppose I must have HD one. How it work with 11"?
If I will change my rear wheel with 180, could I have the 11"? Even if we go in 2?
I think to have it chromed, do u like the cover one? someone has a pic?
thanks

I just ordered the 11" Progressive Covered Shocks in Black. I should have them by next week. Will post pictures and what I think of them.

Anyone want to trade their stockBob shocks [all chrome] for my 11" 412 Progressive's all chrome?
One has leaked all the oil out and the other is fine.
Progressive says all it needs is a rebuild by them because of a faulty seal.
I would just trade even up as I dont like the shocks anyways, my bike rides like my 5yd. dump truck empty, so they need to go.

At your weight, I wouldn't go with the HD model. I'm a little more than you, and so is my wife (more than your wife, not you). I have ridden them for over 10k miles and have just recently started talking to Progressive about what it will take to go to regular springs.

If you want a really stiff ride, go for it I suppose... but it is really your wife that will suffer. I ride with mine pretty much adjusted all the way out and don't change when she gets on. I would rather have room the other direction, to be able to pre load them down, when she gets on... like with the regulars.

yes 11" will work with 180 tire..........If youre wife rides alot with you,I hate to say this ,but you might want to go with 12"s..............I love the look of the stance with the 11".......My wife says she cant tell a difference.............but thats not saying much......she doesnt ride often.....11" gives a stiffer, but better ride IMO.............as far as open to closed....I thought open, but after seeing the pics of the covered......well its a toss up............................Later..LOLIFE....... .....
