Talking Bing King Shift Linkage w/ ARP Bolts

Hey guys,

Couldn't think of any better, low priced, mod to do before the riding season really hits, so I finally got myself a proper shift linkage w/ Chromoly heim joints from BungKing.com and ditched the wimpy one. I probably could have gathered the parts myself, but for $39 shipped to my door I didn't want to bother.

I saw a mid shift linkage from Alloy Arts ($100 no thanks) that came w/ ARP bolts and thought it be a nice little upgrade to the new linkage. Bung King provides 5/16-24 x 1" bolts, so I decided to get the next length down and get 3/4" stainless polished from ARP (nice bling ) and do away w/ the nut on the backside.

....wanted to throw this out there cause it might help the next guy looking for this sort of upgrade.

Looks good. Put some black heat shrink on the threaded rod between the heim joints and it'll look even better.

Pretty good idea there. I think I have some that might do the trick.

Looks great, and yeah that nut is overkill. I left it on mine because of the length of the provided fasteners but the shorter ARPs look cleaner.

Can you do me a favor and measure eye to eye of the linkage? Is it 4 7/8 or 5?
Doesn't necessarily have to be "Bunng Kings" It can be your old one if you have it laying around.
Thanks!

I sold my house, so my bike is in my buddies garage and all my other parts are in storage. When I go over there I'll measure and report back.

Got the same shift linkage almost 2 years ago, it's still like new ! Gotta love it
Didn't put the backing nut also, but put a drop a loctite 243 just in case...

HrdNox, When I adjusted mine to stock dimension, it was 12.5cm so closer to 4 7/8 than 5"
