Default LED headlight 5 3/4

so Im looking to get an LED headlight for my street bob. I've done a little research and here's what I've found to be my options.

1. harley daymaker. made by jw speaker. about $400.
2. drag specialties part 2001-1194. made by jw speaker. according to what I was told by someone at jw speaker, this is just a newer, improved version of the daymaker. available at j and p cycles for $290.
3. there are also less expensive (under $200) options that seem to be made overseas and/or not DOT approved, such as moon mc, moto illumination, hawg lenses, speed king cycle supply, various ebay products, etc.

just trying to get some feedback on this and see if anyone can confirm this info, suggest another option, opinion on what headlight to buy, etc.

thanks.

I've also been researching this subject a bit, and from what I hear moon mc and moto illumination are both pretty good options. The choice between them seems to boil down mostly to which style you prefer.

The 2001-1194 one is the new adaptive one that JW Speaker came out with. Thats what I would go for personally. Watch the videos on it if you haven't done so already!

Edit: The videos are all listed under model 8790 which is the 7" version

I run the Primo Rivera 1116-0201. I wanted to try to retain a somewhat old school look on my bike and get rid of the turn signals and this was the only LED that didn't look like a robot's tit to me.

I bought a Sunpie 5.75 LED headlight from eBay from a company called Eroulight for $99.00. According to the listing it has Low Beam 30W - 2800Lms and High beam 48W - 4450Lms. Maybe that's true, maybe not, however, people I ride with tell it is ridiculously bright and I know that I can see exponentially better at night. I'm sure lots of guys will that complain that its a Chinese light or for $100 it must be crap or "insert excuse" but the light works great and the price was right for me.

I think the new JW Speaker light is just what the Doctor ordered. But JP Cycle doesn't carry it. And the only one I found priced was $490.
I did go from the 7" TL7 to the 5 3/4" Daymaker and am happy with it.

My Moons MC light has the DOT marking on the bottom of the lens.

My FXDL came with the HD day maker and man is it bright! The stock halogen does not compare.. Im sure any Chinese light will be just as effective at a fraction of the cost. Bet HDs light is made in the same factory.. lol

With the LED offroad market - there are endless companies that buy the Chinese ****, put their name on it and run a mark up. Probably the same game ran in this market as well
