For $300 I would be all OVER that adaptive unit from JW Speaker. We'll see where technology goes in the next year. I'll be a bit until I get far enough to worry about the headlight.
The optics and cooling are everything. Lighting class diodes are ready. They've got the output and color down now. Anybody can buy a half decent diode for $20 (less for chinese source and/or volume buy) and slap it behind a "lens". For useavle, quality illumination and long life you just need to make sure you're getting a headlight assembly with carefully engineered optics and the cooling capacity to keep the diodes in spec.

I watched 4 or 5 videos and read a couple reviews (of the 7" version). It's a pretty impressive light. I would jump on it now, but I suspect a second generation with improved optics may be available by the time I'm putting together my front end. I'd like to see them clean up the zebra stripes a bit. Not a deal breaker, but since I'm not really ready anyway....

Interesting, so the M version is the same housing but fixed output, vs the A series which it the lean angle adaptive version. $300 price difference between the two. Since I already have a daymaker, I probably won't upgrade until the adaptive drops to the $400 range. But it looks excellent.

Would you happen to have pics after you had to grind the bulb to make it fit? I just bought that this past week for my my 05 dyna lowrider. I like the light output and it works perfectly fine low and high beams. My only problem is that it doesnt fit my 5 3/4" bucket.. I started to grind the edges out to make it fit but I want to know how much grinding and exactly how it looked after you were able to make it fit in your bucket. Please help. Thank you in advance!!

Update...I have been running the light without the CANBUS module for a month now. No issues. The light is very bright on low beam. On high it just adds a little peripheral light...like, very little.
