lol, they are talking about an FXD. I asked about and FXDL. Maybe you should go back and read also. If you are saying they fit the same tire, you could have just said that.

"they are talking about an FXD. I asked about and FXDL."

Hmm...Yeah I read that ...Your point?

"you could have just said that."

That wouldn't have been as much fun

I think that 200mm wide rear tires and smaller have no problem fitting in the rear fender of these '06 and later Dynas.
Bottoming out in the fender is a different story. There are turn signal wires to worry about also.
Your low rider would have shorter shocks than a regular Dyna and therefor make it easier to bottom out.
I think a 180/60 17 would fit fine but you might need a wider then stock rear wheel to be optimal.
If a 180/60 bottomed out, you could go to a 180/55.
I would think that most people with a Low Rider would want to keep it low and not want to raise the suspension.

16FXDLI, there are people on this forum that must gain some sort of satisfaction from putting down on other members. This Multi H-D Rider guy is one of them. He is a bit of a know-it-all and jumps at the chance to put people in there place. He is actually quite knowledgeable and does help people out so I guess that the good outweighs the bad. I'm sure that us Idiots annoy him too and for him to tolerate us he has to kick us around every once in a while.
In the future, he will make it up to you by answering a question, even if he does it in a way that puts you down. He will add the just to show his superiority.

Au Contraire my friend. That's just OUR relationship .

Before you go casting aspersions, i would challenge you to look back at my many posts (not 1 or 2, try 50 or 100) and repeat that statement, but you may already be too biased. You might find some useful and interesting info. My usual posts will be informative or joking (joking because really the question has already been answered and I'm really a jokster at heart)

Also that's not what means...because "text only" causes misinterpretations and misunderstandings, I generally use to reduce those events.

I'm really a believer of "give a man a fish or teach a man to fish" and sometimes asking that way is how people learn and then can use theory and fundamentals to answer their future questions

there's those smilies again

If only there was a sarcasm font, or a joking font, then maybe there would be less misunderstandings.
I see that you fancy yourself as an educator on this forum. You can be anyone you want to be.
Teaching someone to fish would have many advantages but it wouldn't hurt to feed them first.
I don't know how to take the blue winking smiley as anything but smug. Now I just laugh at it.
