Anyone gone from closed to open end on a Supertrapp?
I've been thinking about switching my closed end cap on my Supertrapp supermeg to open. I think there's a pretty accurate disc removal # to match the restriction. I had a dyno tune, so I don't want to mess that up by changing the flow rate. Any thoughts?
I couple guys I used to race with switched to open on their race bikes and they just adjusted the number of disks like you said. Their bikes still made good HP afterwards.
I did that on my SE Nightstick. I ended up with 5 discs with the Supertrapp open end cap. Tune seemed unaffected but the added low tone accompanied by the extra bit of sound was appreciated.

^^^this^^^...I'm running with the SE Nightstick with 6 disks and the Supertrapp open end cap. The bike has great great low to midrange torque and funs great.
Very pleased with both the performance and sound...
