Bike is looking good! I'd be interested in buying your mid controls when you decide to make the switch.

Good work but you need to ditch those turn signals! I have a 98 here's what I used I think you'll like them. I got them from JP Cycles and hey come with clear smoke lens and orange. They are small and bright enough.

Edit. They came with clear and smoke not Amber. Found the pack will post a pic in case you're interested.

Didn't you buy smaller turn signals already?

yeah i did but was being cheap and they turned out to be junk. Prob would cost as much to send them back as keep them, ill just post them on facebook for local sale. A local store has a set similar to ones posted but with red lens and talked to a guy who does state inspections and he said red on the back will pass inspection. I think they were like 40 or 50 bucks.

I'd like to find a set that will work with brake/run/turn module as I think I might chop the fender this winter. (will have to check the ones at the local store and see if they will before i buy them)

no problem my man, enjoy. Just glad I could help ya on your way. Keep en eye open in the classifieds here, someone is always selling a set of HD turn signals. There's something to said for the HD parts and upgrades, one thing is they'll fit. I know a lot of the aftermarket stuff can be cool but sometimes the headaches aren't worth it, especially if you're working on a budget.

Well finally got a manual, and didn't really trust dealership i got the bike from, so i changed oil in all three holes. Used Mobil 1 V-twin all synthetic. I read a million different forums and a saw all the different opinions on using the same synthetic in all the holes. I liked the ease of only buying one kind of oil. Would have got Amsoil but they didn't have it at advance auto and i live right beside it. Was kind of expensive but i feel better knowing that it was done right. Used K&N filter which will be nice when it comes time to replace it cause has a place on end for socket. Anyways feels good to have actually done it myself, was kinda hesitant to do it but after doing it I'm glad i did.

Finally got my turn signals and license plate bracket on.

I also got air cleaner on but when i tried to re-jet carb a screw was stripped and couldn't get it out. Rode it a few miles def needs rejetted and adjusted not to confident on my abilities so might take it to shop also noticed a slow speed vibration so i checked the wheel and its move slightly side to side when i pull or push on it. So back to the shop i guess.

Anyways I'm happy with out the back end looks now. here's the pics
