I always think it's dumber then crap.
You think by the time you hang all that extra stuff on it,, it's going to still act like a dyna?
Put a set of saddle bags on it an call it good.
If you want a bagger,, buy one. Or get a Switchback,,
I never understood "cool" as defined by trying to make one bike look like another??

It is his bike, let him do what he wants.
I'm sure the next time he decides to 'customize', he'll contact you for pointers on what you think he needs...........

I always figure if someone can not see the purpose of modifying bikes they should just buy rice and feel at home on the GW forum.

I understand what your saying , but when all said and done il have less then 7k in my build. And yes I do believe it will handle better then an actual touring bike. And I'm sorry but I just don't have the money to go and " buy " one of those bikes.
Plus wrenching on it keeps me sain during winter. Everyone's entitled to their opinions and I appreciate your but I'm gunna keep doing my thing. Thanks - mike

Nice work so far Mike, keep it up. People will talk **** here and there, don't pay them any attention. Looking forward to seeing what else you're doing.
Like you, I don't have a budget for a $23k+ bike, so I spent around $1600 to do my setup, bags, fairing and footboards and that includes powder and paint work.
As for touring with a Dyna Bagger, I can tell you it was nice being able to make my 7000 mile round trip ride to Sturgis last summer in comfort and still being able to hit the twisties out there with ease.
This bike setup is growing on here, a good number of us have been tinkering with the bagger setup, all with our own little twist.
