Hi there I used to be totally in this camp, especially since I have ridden, ride dirt bikes. I found out the difference now; its the handle bars. I have forwards with low bars. I feel pretty good about being able to weight the pegs some because I am more over the tank instead of leaned back like on my street bob. I installed mid foot pegs (just the pegs) so I can give my hip a break from being stretched out but I dont see me going back to the mid controls. I think because of these bars and leaned forward it just doesnt work they are too high.

On the street bob since I was layed back the mids worked much better.

I just swapped my stock mids on my S.Bob to the stock Low Rider mounts yesterday. The low rider mounts move your feet 2 inches forward. I'm 6ft tall and felt cramped with the mids and was getting pain in my hips. I hope this helps we'll see. They now sell the peg mounts in the "Further Forward Mid Control Kit" http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...id-control-kit. Kind of expensive, I scored a used LR set off ebay. Now I just need to adjust the brake pedal a little higher and the weather to finally break.

Default Did I miss a part?

So I was reviewing the procedure again cause I'm to excited. But do I need to replace the adapter that connects to the actual transmission? I mean the lever towards the rear of the primary. I hope that makes sense....

Awwwww yeah, it came in today!! TI me for awesomeness.....

Yeah, at the moment I have two projects going on (upper rebuild on my truck) but my scoot takes priority. Not worried about space though, that J&S jack will move it how ever needed!!

I know threads have been made, (scope HDpilots, great write up) but I shall be sharing pics along the way when it begins on Tuesday. Super stoked!!
Best mod I ever did. Love them. Wish I had ordered when I first got the bike. Also improves handling. I used the further foward mid controls. Much more comfortable.
