My road kings rear final drive belt started making a chirping noise about 100 miles before it broke.

Nowdays I use a stethascope. Way back when, I used a length of
tubing (fuel line, vac hose, garden hose, whatever was handy),
one end stuck in or near my ear, and the other end moves around
near likely then unlikely sources of the noise.
This can be done on a stationary, or, a moving vehicle or other machinery.

Had something like that on my '05 WG, I'd hear some chirp kind of sound when I'd pop the throttle or sometimes running down the road. Finally figured it out this afternoon, it was the back of the seat making that noise. Tightened it down a little more and its gone now.

Guys i was away for the weekend and dint have time to check in, thanks for all of the replys. I have to say i really think its coming from the front, and ive pretty much now ruled out the front caliper, and like i said, it does it very occasionally, like maybe 3 mins out of a day of riding...Ill check my motor mounts next i guess..

ya motor mounts in pertickular the top mount on the left side. i had this noise told the stealer on my 10k service and they said it was the primary chain. but guess what it still did it and i found out that by grabbing the horn and pulling back on it the sound stopped so when i got home i took it off and that opened up the view and i saw the back bolt on the top mount was loose and i could actully get a finger nail between the washer!!!! i tightend it up and the noise stopped. the sad thing is on the stealers CHECK list this mount was one of the line items and it was check that its tightness was checked!!!! F*ck bastards i never went back third time was the charm for me. 3 times i got my bike back with loose ****. i about lost my whole stock ac after they did the 1,000 mi service cuz only one of the 3 bolts that hold the bracket to attach the cover was in the others were just rattling around.

I have a similar problem with my dyna chirping. While I agree you should check your motor mount, you should check your drive belt to see if it is wearing against either side of the sprocket... it is easy to see, just look at the belt from behind. We adjusted my rear alignment just slightly and the chirping went away. About to so it again this afternoon.
