15 FXDF Risers, handlebars with stock cables... not sure
hey guys,
I have a 15 fxdf fat bob, ever since getting the bike Ive always thought it'd be more comfortable with a couple extra inches at the handle bars, after putting on my mustang tripper fastback, Ive noticed I'm another inch or so further away.
Ive tried searching for 8" risers, cant seem to find any. I found lots of threads about "Spacer Jim" but it looks like he retired in 2014 and unless I find some used, that's not an option.
Ive found a couple threads about Harley Streetslammer bars P/N 55985-10 (http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-09-5598510--1) do they move the bars just a touch up and closer to the rider?
Im open to other suggestions or options as well but I'd like to keep my factory cables / wires, will that be a problem with the couple inch change?
thanks!

nice! I wonder why those never showed up in google, probably cause I was always looking for fxdf specific parts.
would I need the "FAT handle bar risers" ? http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/2-In...2-SFT-RSRS.htm
and would I still be able to run factory cables and everything with that extra 2"?

I ran spacer jims 1.5" on my '11 for a spell and the stock cables were tight.
You could do big als they have 6" and 8" options, but won't work with your 1.5" stock bars.

Or you could do some lower risers with high bend bars (that would look sweet)

Last option if you don't want to swap cables, go straight to narrow 8" t's

I have a 09 fatbob and I bought a set off ebay like these 8" risers and the are for 1 1/4" bars. Not sure of the size of the newer fatbob bars diameter. I powdercoated them black, Also I use stock cables. Just a little tight on the clutch cable when turned fully to the right. I just reran the cable up through the frame to get more slack. No problems. I am 6'2" and these feel more comfortable just with the couple inches
