I have never had an issue with it. I've never replaced front tires on any of my bikes (sold before they needed them) but have changed the rear several times on different bikes. They always mis matched after the factory rear wore out. Everything so far has seemed to do just fine. Still factory front and rear on my low rider so I can't comment on that.

I've had a Dunlop on the front and a Michelin on the rear for 5,000 miles, no issues.

you'll be fine. The only thing you may notice is if your taking some turns at higher speeds with wet pavement it may feel a bit off. The treads are there for moisture distribution. Most of us aren't ripping these bikes through turns in rain, so you are perfectly fine.

No problem. I've got a Michelin II rear and Dunlop front. I'll switch to Michelin II front when the Dunlop wears out, which shouldn't take long.

You'll be amazed at the difference.
