That's nice that they sent you a drawing I made...

Default new fairing

Got my fairing mocked up this weekend. RWD fairing and windshield with JD fab brackets. Everything seems well made so far.

hand guards and blinkers werent even close to clearing, so had to take those off
Will relocate blinkers somewhere else soon. Any suggestions? shoot. Still need to figure out headlight situation, and trim the shield a little so the levers clear

9.5" pullbacks and biltwell trackers FYI. I refuse to go higher, I love my bar setup.

Praying I dont get the head buffeting like the rifle fairing gave me, or this is one expensive mistake.

Sometimes head buffeting is due to the helmet. So if you experience excessive buffeting once you're up & running, you might try another helmet.

A friend of mine was recently complaining about head buffeting and no matter how we made adjustments it continued. So I took it for a ride and it was fine. We took the visor off his helmet and all is well. No more issue.

Just a thought.

Does the air flow better with the holes on the sides by the head light or does it really make much of a difference if they are closed off like some of the other FXRT/D/P repo'n fairings have?

I myself am scared of the buffeting. Every darn shield I had buffeted the hell out of me

Except for a ness in the proper position

Get a recurve screen though. Better chance of no buffeting

I stalk this thread hoping a 6'4 person does this swap and gives a ride report

SDC Fork Brace Ken. I'm 6'00" and had no buffeting with the 14" or the 11" that I am running now. Both were recurved.

I have not really been a fan of the FXRP style fairings until I saw this one that a friend of mine did for a HotBike Mag build. BMC kit color matched to a Lowrider. Looks amazing IMO. I have a Conley's FXRT style kit on my FXDB (as you can see below in my signature image) and I do really like it but might be moving on up to a BMC soon. I like the larger headlight for sure.
