My understanding is that the MoCo cedes that the softail line is not meant to handle therefore does not provide the ground clearance needed to actually push the bikes in a sporting manner. That was told to me by a major dealer's service manager who told me to stop trying to make a softail handle.
Last time I rode a Fat Boy it just felt dead. Not a good handling bike but I could ride no hands all day at 80 miles per hour due to the rake and trail.
Maybe the message wasn't delivered nicely but it is accurate.

LOL. Actually I dragged the floorboards on the S during the demo ride... the seating position wasn't what I like and I since I got pretty comfortable on my Dyna sticking with the Dyna line makes sense... I also checked out both the roadglide and the street-glide in the fall and while I like them quite a bit the dyna just suits me more for now... I think eventually I'd like a roadglide but will prob wait for the next engine refresh. I understand Harley follows a 7 year engine refresh cycle so we've got a few years till the 110's become the standard motor across the entire line (my dealer thought it would be 2019).
