theres plenty of slack for wires to pull out of the right side. clutch cable needs rerouted around the front of the left frame tube for 3" extensions.
one thing to note, there is a PLETHORA of information on the 231 pages on here. if youre looking to do things such as this, you can find the answers so much faster searching this thread as this stuff has been tried to and tested.
DK 3" risers; DK 2" tank lift. Road yesterday after the 2" tank lift install, and my head temperatures (HT) were reading 260 -275. The day before (same weather conditions) without the tank lift head temps were around 300. I'll continue to nerd about the HT, and might consider the LJ mighty mites if HT rise to 300 during the hotter temps in summer. Anyone else monitoring HT with the 117?
Looks good. On the tank lift, did you have to replace the fuel and vent lines? Does it also lift the rear as well? Have you noticed if the fuel gauge lost any accuracy or the miles to empty counter has changed?
No on both accounts, but the vent line is hard against the frame under the tank. DK supplies a new vent line, which I will change to add a little slack in the line, especially with HD's vibration.
Sorry about that. No my tank lift is front only. Not sure the LRS can be lifted from the rear; check with DK. Haven't checked accuracy of fuel gauge, as I just did the tank lift Sunday.
Fuel gauge goes down faster and the light goes on a little earlier. Just take a look on your miles indicator and ride. After doing the tank lift on my LRS, i got a little uncomfortably at first but now i get used to.
